Things I’ve done……

Found in Kate’s blog, figured what the heck…..

  1. Started my own blog–which one??  I had so many 🙂
  2. Slept under the stars –several times, camping, beach, in Crete, Japan, Maryland
  3. Played in a band
  4. Visited Hawaii – yep, in 1994 for my birthday and ended up with a fever of 103 on my bday!
  5. Watched a meteor shower
  6. Given more than I can afford to charity
  7. Been to Disneyland/world — Epcot
  8. Climbed a mountain
  9. Held a praying mantis — many times, they are sooo cool
  10. Sung a solo — yep in high school
  11. Bungee jumped — and don’t plan to
  12. Visited Paris
  13. Watched lightning at sea — on a cruise this past year, incredible–and scary
  14. Taught myself an art from scratch —yes, sewing, then quilting – though I have to reteach myself the proper techniques
  15. Adapted a child
  16. Had food poisoning
  17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
  18. Grown my own vegetables –tomatoes & herbs, mostly
  19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
  20. Slept on an overnight train
  21. Had a pillow fight
  22. Hitchhiked
  23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill–don’t tell the boss, please 🙂
  24. Built a snow fort–lived in upstate New York…lots of snow.
  25. Held a lamb–petting zoos are a good thing
  26. Gone skinny dipping
  27. Run a Marathon (not an ambition, either!)
  28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice
  29. Seen a total eclipse
  30. Watched a sunrise or sunset —yes and yes
  31. Hit a home run
  32. Been on a cruise – yep, 2 and plan another in the near future
  33. Seen Niagara Falls in person
  34. Visited the birthplace of my ancestors
  35. Seen an Amish community
  36. Taught myself a new language (does HTML & CSS count?)
  37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied
  38. Gone rock climbing – in Crete
  39. Seen Michelangelo’s David
  40. Sung karaoke –sadly, yes I have–I blame alcohol and Stacie 🙂
  41. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt
  42. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant
  43. Visited Africa
  44. Walked on a beach by moonlight
  45. Been transported in an ambulance
  46. Had my portrait painted
  47. Gone deep sea fishing – tried, but again on vacation and got sick with a fever
  48. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person
  49. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris
  50. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling
  51. Kissed in the rain
  52. Played in the mud
  53. Gone to a drive-in theater
  54. Been in a movie
  55. Visited the Great Wall of China
  56. Started a business – Tupperware, Partylite
  57. Taken a martial arts class
  58. Visited Russia
  59. Served at a soup kitchen
  60. Sold Girl Scout Cookies
  61. Gone whale watching
  62. Got flowers for no reason
  63. Donated blood, platelets or plasma –can’t anymore due to my stay in Europe in the late 80’s, but before that, yep
  64. Gone sky diving
  65. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp
  66. Bounced a check
  67. Flown in a helicopter
  68. Saved a favorite childhood toy
  69. Visited the Lincoln Memorial –I live 60 minutes from DC
  70. Eaten caviar
  71. Pieced a quilt –ummm…yah, done that a few times
  72. Stood in Times Square
  73. Toured the Everglades
  74. Been fired from a job
  75. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London
  76. Broken a bone –my left ankle at 30 and my right ring finger when I was 10
  77. Been on a speeding motorcycle
  78. Seen the Grand Canyon in person
  79. Published a book
  80. Visited the Vatican
  81. Bought a brand new car
  82. Walked in Jerusalem
  83. Had my picture in the newspaper – yeppers…check it out here! And when I was kid for winning a fire safety award
  84. Read the entire Bible
  85. Visited the White House – yep before 9/11
  86. Killed and prepared an animal for eating (I’m counting fish here)
  87. Had chickenpox
  88. Saved someone’s life
  89. Sat on a jury
  90. Met someone famous –most of the Backstreet Boys, Mark Lipinski, Alan Hunter (old MTV VJ), Lee Greenwood, Amy Grant, I know there are more, but those are the ones I can remember and obviously left positive memories
  91. Joined a book club –Crafter’s Choice right now, but done the romance ones when I was younger
  92. Lost a loved one
  93. Had a baby –which one…I have 4
  94. Seen the Alamo in person – lived in San Antonio for 4.5 years in the 80/90’s, but revisited it last June
  95. Swam in the Great Salt Lake
  96. Been involved in a lawsuit
  97. Owned a cell phone – since 1998
  98. Been stung by a bee  — never or a wasp
  99. Ridden an elephant
